Playlists and Artists Support 🎢 by Beau & Smily

Hello lovely humans πŸ’•

If you are on Twitter you probably already know that at the end of 2020, Beau and I made an end of year Artist Support playlist.

We had many submissions and after listening to all of them created a playlist filled with talented Artists.

This playlist has a large variety of genres, predominantly different genres within electronic music, but includes some Indie artists and other unique music which is not easy to classify

The playlist quickly gained followers of artists and music lovers alike whom enjoy supporting one another.

I am so happy to be part of such an amazing community πŸ’›πŸ’— and thankful for Beau to listen to so many tracks with me, always ready to share his opinion and decide together which ones fit best. It made the process even more fun.

For those of you who haven’t listened yet. Here’s the playlist 😁 Remember to follow share and listen to support each other.

There will be a playlist or maybe multiple in 2021 as well. More on that later!

Meanwhile as you know all support is done out of love for music without charging any fees.

Should you like to offer some support and buy me a coffee you can do that here. Anything is appreciated πŸ’–

Till next time all you beautiful souls

Smily’s featured track January 2021

Hello all you wonderful music loving humans. It has been a while since I have been actively posting articles on my blog.

Last year I started out active and extra happy, looking forward to sharing many musical and travel adventures in addition to the usual featured tracks and Artists I like to support here.

2020 didn’t quite go as planned for any of us including my plans for the blog and artist support. As we are now starting in 2021 and still unsure if how all will unfold this year, I’d like to remain hopeful. I wish all of you health and the best this year as well.

I would like to kick off the year with my first featured track article. This track is one I discovered last year and played a lot. Let’s get started

A bit about the artist by the artist

Hi there, I am Jeremy Greysmark. I am a music producer and have been playing the piano since a young This is somethang that influenced my music, and made me very melody oriented.

The way I personally like to work is by starting by writing a colourful melody purely on the piano. If it sounds good on there, it will work in a full track.

I was born and raised in Germany. I lived and worked in Scotland and then moved to London in 2014 where I am still currently based.

One of the things I have had the honor to do were writing the music for the closing ceremony of a German music festival called Parookaville in the years 2015 2016 and 2017. I also work as a sound designer for animations.

A bit about the track by the Artist

I wrote Faceless when I lived in Scotland, Aberdeen. In the same year I moved to London and discovered that Jodie my flatmate was an excellent singer.

This song uses a variety of delays and pianos to create this unique sounding melodic plucky instrument. Vocal chops of Jodie have been used in the drop to make it sound different. The vocals have not been pitched like in a lot of other songs, which makes it feel more organic and give this song this deep feel.

The lyrics and the general feel came from the daily chore of commuting in London or any other big city for that matter. Everything is very anonymous, people just care for themselves and everyone is just out to help themselves. Everybody on a daily commute is literally faceless. People concentrate not to make eye contact in order to make it to the end of the day quicker. Any distraction or hold up is inconvenient and the daily β€œrat race” just seems never-ending

A bit about the Artist by Smily

Jeremy and I have followed each other on twitter for quite sometime. I’ve always enjoyed our interactions, listening to melodies he created and posted and him commenting on tracks I’ve shared as well as joining in on some of the random things I like to do on Twitter to connect with humans worldwide. I enjoy our conversations and appreciate the way he focuses on the melody.

A bit about the track by Smily

One one of my routine Artist Support playlists I was building, Jeremy sent me this track. When I listened to it I immediately liked it. The melody is great and catchy while remaining unique, I love that the vocals were not autotuned (which I feel gets so overused in this industry) and the message touched me too. I am the kind of human that enjoys connecting with people, and often when these kind of routines fall into place maybe we can feel a distance building.

I enjoyed the track so much that I submitted it to be part of my monthly radioshow that I have had the honor to air on Bostin Radio. They loved the track there as well and have made it a part of their regular rotation of music 🎢

I think after 2020 we all need human connections even more then ever and when we go back to a more adjusted life I hope we will keep this in mind and find the right balance.

Now it is your turn, listen to the music here and let me know your thoughts. Remember to support your artists, they need it so they can continue to make more music 🎢

Beau & Smily’s Music Adventures – 2nd edition

Hi everyone πŸ€— Guess what time it is??? Time for another music adventure!

After releasing our first shared playlist and streaming the process online, Beau & I got together (virtually via Twitch due to the virus) to create a second playlist.

Thank you for everyone that joined and watched our live stream. When friends from all over the world tune in it makes it an extra fun and lovely experience. The world seems like a smaller place then.

This time Beau and I decided to have our playlist have that lovely “wubwub” sound. Beau always coming up with great ideas called our stream on twitch; Beau Peska wub making with @smilydutchgirl. Our playlist also is named wubwub making.

We had so much fun putting the tracks together, and enjoyed all the people that joined and offered suggestions.

We look forward to doing more live streams and fun projects in the future together and will share them with you πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—

Please enjoy our playlist below. Spotify and Apple links, whichever you prefer. Please follow, share and listen to support! Now get your wub on 😝

Beau & Smily’s Music Adventures – 1st Edition

Hello all you beautiful souls, how are you all feeling? πŸ₯°

During this time most of us are inside and miss interacting in person with the people that are most precious to us. We all find ways to connect while apart, face time, phone calls, social media etc.

As you all know I make and share playlists on Twitter with all of you regularly. It’s something I enjoy doing very much. How you all actively support the playlists and share your music with me always puts a smile on my face. I will continue with these playlists of course! 😊

This week got to be next level fun for me in making a playlist, let me tell you all about it!

You most likely already have seen him on my Twitter, Instagram and/or in person if we know each other in real life, but just in case you haven’t yet…… Let me officially introduce you to one of my favorite humans in the Universe. Tadaaaaaaa πŸ₯³ Beau Peska!πŸ€—πŸ₯° You can give him a follow on Twitter @beaupeska

Smily and Beau having fun

Since we are not able to have our usual adventures together, we had a brilliant plan of making a playlist with some of the music that makes us happy and that we like to sing together. Beau had the amazing idea to livestream our process of picking out the tracks and building the playlist while streaming it live on Twitch.

I can not tell you just how much fun that was! It was a great way to enjoy each other’s company virtually while chatting, laughing, and building a great playlist together. We included some of our favorite tracks that we sing together, send to each other etc. All of it music with happy memories.

Our friends that joined the live stream shared some of their favorite tracks that we listened to together as well.  Some of them were added to the playlists. It was a fun night with great music.

Martin @HMTharald on Twitter (give him a follow) asked if we would be doing this weekly. Beau and I later discussed the idea and decided to make this a regular thing we will continue to do.

Also let’s not forget to mention my girl Chez from Australia. You all know we have travelled the world together & attended concerts and festivals. It was great to have you join, have laughs with us and provided some interesting pictures from our travels lolπŸ˜…πŸ˜‚β€ give her a follow @AStateofChez

For our future playlist, Beau and I plan to pick a different theme or sound each time, and then build our playlist while live streaming on Twitch.

If you want to submit a track to be considered that you think fits our sound of that week, you will have to join us on the next live stream on twitch and participate and interact with us.😁

Of course Beau and I have to both like the track and decide if it fits our sound in order to be added. πŸ˜ƒ

So for now here is our very first playlist, so come dance with us and have some fun. Join us in our very special playlist, filled with Happiness, Friendship, Love and Good Vibes.

Links to our Spotify and Apple music playlist below πŸ₯°

We added a picture of us being happy and having fun together taken a few weeks before we all had to start staying home. I can’t wait till we can have fun in person again. And am glad we still get to see each other’s face every day virtually for now. πŸ€—

Playlists and Artist Support πŸŽΆ

Hello all you wonderful people πŸ’–β˜€οΈ

It has been a while since I published a new Article due to how busy my work life has been. But I sure have not forgotten about you all. In fact I am ready to be out here a bit more actively sharing short articles on music, supporting artists, friendship, travel and shows when we can all go back to enjoying those things. πŸ€—

You all know how much I love making playlists and sharing music. In the first part of the year I made an Artist Support playlist that is completely filled with songs from Artists like you that submitted a track on Twitter. I want to thank you all again for the overwhelming response. It was so much fun and due to the much bigger response then expected it took me several days to listen to all the submissions.

At the end of this article I will share this playlist. I plan on making one of these quarterly since they are very time consuming to put together, but at the same time SO much fun. It sure is a good feeling to see all the artists with so many great music skills excited about the support.

I would like to ask you for your support too by listening to and sharing all the playlists I make and share, and spread the love of music all through our Universe.

For those of you that don’t already know, in addition to the quarterly Artists Support playlists, I make playlists, share music both well known and up and coming music on a regular basis. I have also made some playlists with friends. I will write more about this soon 😊

Thank you everyone for all the beautiful music you put out in the world! Music is something that makes everything better, and unites us all. Keep up the great work!

Here is the first Artists support playlist of the year. Look forward to another one in April!

Sending much love and Good Vibes to alllll of you πŸ₯° There are many things going on in our world right now, let’s all be safe and come together virtually and support one another and spread love in our Universe

Let me know how you like the playlist and don’t be shy to tweet at me.

Much love always πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– Smily

Smily’s featured track

Hellooooo everyone βœŒπŸ‘‹πŸ˜πŸŽΆ Ready for a bright and happy new week, with lots of good music? Well let me start you off right!

Today I am featuring a track by an artist I published an article about a while ago. At that time he was a dj that recently started finishing producing tracks he had been working on for a while.

I would like to feature one of his newer tracks that has a great sound. But first let me give Chris a chance to talk about himself and today’s featured track!

A bit about the artist by the artist

Hi I’m Chris and as my dj name I go by Porter. I produce techy electronic sounds, bass heavy – dance floor drivers. What I scope in to and I hope to do more is shows.

In the last year I have been signed to 2 labels, Ultrasonic Music Germany (UMG) and Pink Dolphin Music Ltd.

I released my first EP with UMG ‘Non Conformity’ witch it techno and tech house while 3 tracks on pink dolphin are more experimental electronic style.

A bit about the track by the artist

This track “Grinder” is where I decided I would try and merge the future house sounds with the more traditional housey tech beats.

A bit about the artist & track by Smily

It’s nice to see how Chris confidence has grown and to hear him experiment with different sounds. It also made me smile to see that Rich from @PinkDolphinMLtd who’s label I enjoy supporting for having such great unique music, had signed Chris under his label.

I really enjoy the track Grinder, I like how it builds up and is it’s own kind of style and genre. The beat is amazing too. So give it a try and let myself and Chris know what you think.

Don’t forget to show your support, by listening to the music, sharing feedback and by sharing the track and article, so more people get to enjoy the music.

You may follow Chris on Twitter at @ChrisIPorter

Smily’s featured track

Hello lovely people. It is time again for a featured track that I’d like you all to listen to and get your feedback on β˜€οΈπŸ€—πŸŒˆ

Let me introduce to you JoJo who’s artist name is DJ7Teen please follow her on Twitter @DJ7Teen 😊

She is SO is very passionate about music which makes me so happy when I meet people that have this same passion!

So all you beatiful souls, let’s all show our support. I was introduced to her and her music via my wonderful friend Damian from Artists known as us (follow them on Twitter) πŸ€—@ArtistesKnownAs

As I listened to DJ7Teen’s music and got to speak with her some quickly realized just how passionate she is about music. I want to support her drive, talent and passion and her as a person, and I know all of you my friends and Twitterfam out there also love music and supporting the ones that make it.

So let me have the artists introduce themselves and their track πŸ˜„πŸŒˆπŸŒΈ

A little about the artist by the artist.

Hi I am Dj7teen. I have been djing since i was 15 years old.

I fell in love with music since a young age and became really interested in djing when i was a freshman in highschool.

I am selftaught but have been guided in the industry by big producers and labels and learned so much.

I’ve been producing orginal content since I was about 16/17 yrs old. Now im signed under a label from the United Kingdom DamoFunk Productions and I could not have asked for a better label to be signed under.

They arent just my label and mentors but they became like family to me.

A little bit about the track by the artist.

What inspired my track is how I feel about music. My main objective is to get people to see how music of any genre still can unite people.

Music is the one thing we all have in common. Its how we learn, grow, and teach each other basic morals. Something that helps us cope with everything.

We are all in this together. I am very greateful for my fans and supporters

A little bit about the track by Smily

Smily’s Playlist by the Twitterfam

πŸ¦„πŸŒˆβ€πŸŽΆ Hello all of you beautiful souls!

Most of you know how much I like to support Artists, make playlists and share music on Twitter. My taste is very broad in music and I share accordingly.

About a month ago I thought it would be fun to make a playlist of music and songs all made by the great artists on Twitter who love, make and support one another in making music.

I was pleasantly overwhelmed with the response and submissions of tracks by artists. There is so much talent out there, so much creativity. All of you that submitted your music, I want to thank you! And if your track didn’t make the playlist this time, don’t give up! There will be more opportunities, I always listen every track that is sent to me. 😊🎢

It was such a success that I have decided not to stop here. I was trying to decide if I’d start making these playlists monthly or keep building on the original playlist.

I put a poll out on Twitter and asked for all your feedback and ideas, so I can keep them for consideration when I make my decision on which way I choose to go. So thank you everyone for your feedback and thoughts. It means a lot 😊πŸ₯°

I have decided to make a monthly or bi-monthly playlist (depending on my work/travel schedule)

Then after sharing the tracks one by one on Twitter and then the entire playlist. Make it stay available on Spotify as well as write a blog article with a link to the playlist including the artists that contributed to the playlist. This way they may share the article and the playlist to help themselves and fellow artists to get their music out there.

There are some other ideas and future plans in the works but I will tell you more on that later πŸ€—πŸ˜‰

Below please see the link to the very first Twitterfam playlist which I hope is the start of something special πŸ’• Your music certainly is special!

Thank you to all these amazing artists which are a part of this beautiful playlist.

This is Mike Ferrum + a free download.

Mike is one of my music friends from my hometown in Rotterdam.

He has been involved with music for a really long time, especially Trance I can always count on him to be willing to have a fun conversation revolving around music. Recently Mike has reached a beautiful milestone in music, and in honor of that we did a little interview and Mike is providing a free download of his mix to share with all of you.

Please enjoy the conversation we had below. This way you can all get to know him a little better and see how much passion Mike has for music.

I really wanted to add the pictures we took together several years back when we went to Hardwell in the Netherlands. But unfortunately neither myself or Mike can find them anymore.😞

Mike has a radio show where I used to help now and then to share the tracks he was playing on Twitter. Fun memories 😊

Below enjoy our conversation, questions and answers.

Smily: Mike how often is your radioshow again?

Mike: The show is the first and third Saturday each month from 4 PM till 6 PM Dutch time on http://www.lazerfm.com

Smily: Talk some about yourself that I can share for the article.

Mike: It’s always so difficult to just talk about yourself πŸ˜…

Smily: Just talk the way we always chat. About your love for music and how you started with everything.

Mike: I’ve always really liked music. Especially house music. For example thee was Dario G and Mauro Picotto and also Gigi D’Agostino but that was pretty commercial/mainstream and played on the radio. Back then you could watch the videos on TMF andere the Box. And whenever there was a party I used to think how fun it would be if you could be the one to decide what music was played. I didn’t really know the whole concept of DJ or mixing back then.

In early 2000 I discovered TiΓ«sto after hearing some hits like lethal industry, flight 643 and suburban train but that was about the extent of my knowledge.

Smily: Do you remember when you started getting actively involved with music and mixing?

Mike: Yesssss for my 15th birthday my parents gave me a DVD that could also play MP3 files. And my Dad made a CD that included a 1 hour set of Tiesto.

After that I started searching for more music and found underground trance that hardly anyone had heard of. I also found the first ever Tiesto concert on mp3 and played that set to death. I can’t count how many time I listened to it. When a DVD was released and I bought it I saw what a DJ could do, I knew then that I wanted to do that too.

So I bought a mixer that had 2 CD Players with a tterrible pitch haha. But it taught me to mix. After a few years I was able to buy the real deal. That’s when I could really practice.

In 2007 I started a small podcast and in 2009 I started at lazerfm.

And now I am 455 shows along and I can easily say I have recorded about 900 hours of music just for the shows. In a positive way.

Smily: Really fantastic what you have reached with your love for music. .TiΓ«sto was especially a big inspiration for you right?

Mike: At that time he seemed to always know how to pick the right tracks and adjusted to the crowd. He would play things that were completely new and different from all the other DJ’s and I really admire that.

Smily: I really love the trance mixes you always send me. Would it be okay if we share a special download link with everyone of your milestone show?

Mike: Yes of course!
