Hello lovely people! As you might have guessed I am Dutch, and smiling and seeing the beauty in life just seems to come naturally. Music, travel, good food and the people I love of course are some of the things that make me smile the most. Music is my passion, and music makes the world even more beautiful. It unites people all over the world. On my page I'll write about music, events and artists. I will share songs that you may have never heard because they are underground, or from artist that are up and coming, or it may be something you hear on the radio. Variety is the spice of life. I will also feature articles of up and coming producers/dj's that I have gotten a chance to know and share a bit about them, their dreams, future goals and music of course. I hope you will enjoy it and my articles will make your day a little brighter and put a smile on your face. ^_^ This is a place for all music lovers to feel home. I'll be here happily sharing good music and good vibes with everyone. Love, Smily <3
Hi everyone 🤗 Guess what time it is??? Time for another music adventure!
After releasing our first shared playlist and streaming the process online, Beau & I got together (virtually via Twitch due to the virus) to create a second playlist.
Thank you for everyone that joined and watched our live stream. When friends from all over the world tune in it makes it an extra fun and lovely experience. The world seems like a smaller place then.
This time Beau and I decided to have our playlist have that lovely “wubwub” sound. Beau always coming up with great ideas called our stream on twitch; Beau Peska wub making with @smilydutchgirl. Our playlist also is named wubwub making.
We had so much fun putting the tracks together, and enjoyed all the people that joined and offered suggestions.
We look forward to doing more live streams and fun projects in the future together and will share them with you 😊💗
Please enjoy our playlist below. Spotify and Apple links, whichever you prefer. Please follow, share and listen to support! Now get your wub on 😝
Hello all you beautiful souls, how are you all feeling? 🥰
During this time most of us are inside and miss interacting in person with the people that are most precious to us. We all find ways to connect while apart, face time, phone calls, social media etc.
As you all know I make and share playlists on Twitter with all of you regularly. It’s something I enjoy doing very much. How you all actively support the playlists and share your music with me always puts a smile on my face. I will continue with these playlists of course! 😊
This week got to be next level fun for me in making a playlist, let me tell you all about it!
You most likely already have seen him on my Twitter, Instagram and/or in person if we know each other in real life, but just in case you haven’t yet…… Let me officially introduce you to one of my favorite humans in the Universe. Tadaaaaaaa 🥳 Beau Peska!🤗🥰 You can give him a follow on Twitter @beaupeska
Since we are not able to have our usual adventures together, we had a brilliant plan of making a playlist with some of the music that makes us happy and that we like to sing together. Beau had the amazing idea to livestream our process of picking out the tracks and building the playlist while streaming it live on Twitch.
I can not tell you just how much fun that was! It was a great way to enjoy each other’s company virtually while chatting, laughing, and building a great playlist together. We included some of our favorite tracks that we sing together, send to each other etc. All of it music with happy memories.
Our friends that joined the live stream shared some of their favorite tracks that we listened to together as well. Some of them were added to the playlists. It was a fun night with great music.
Martin @HMTharald on Twitter (give him a follow) asked if we would be doing this weekly. Beau and I later discussed the idea and decided to make this a regular thing we will continue to do.
Also let’s not forget to mention my girl Chez from Australia. You all know we have travelled the world together & attended concerts and festivals. It was great to have you join, have laughs with us and provided some interesting pictures from our travels lol😅😂❤ give her a follow @AStateofChez
For our future playlist, Beau and I plan to pick a different theme or sound each time, and then build our playlist while live streaming on Twitch.
If you want to submit a track to be considered that you think fits our sound of that week, you will have to join us on the next live stream on twitch and participate and interact with us.😁
Of course Beau and I have to both like the track and decide if it fits our sound in order to be added. 😃
So for now here is our very first playlist, so come dance with us and have some fun. Join us in our very special playlist, filled with Happiness, Friendship, Love and Good Vibes.
Links to our Spotify and Apple music playlist below 🥰
We added a picture of us being happy and having fun together taken a few weeks before we all had to start staying home. I can’t wait till we can have fun in person again. And am glad we still get to see each other’s face every day virtually for now. 🤗
It has been a while since I published a new Article due to how busy my work life has been. But I sure have not forgotten about you all. In fact I am ready to be out here a bit more actively sharing short articles on music, supporting artists, friendship, travel and shows when we can all go back to enjoying those things. 🤗
You all know how much I love making playlists and sharing music. In the first part of the year I made an Artist Support playlist that is completely filled with songs from Artists like you that submitted a track on Twitter. I want to thank you all again for the overwhelming response. It was so much fun and due to the much bigger response then expected it took me several days to listen to all the submissions.
At the end of this article I will share this playlist. I plan on making one of these quarterly since they are very time consuming to put together, but at the same time SO much fun. It sure is a good feeling to see all the artists with so many great music skills excited about the support.
I would like to ask you for your support too by listening to and sharing all the playlists I make and share, and spread the love of music all through our Universe.
For those of you that don’t already know, in addition to the quarterly Artists Support playlists, I make playlists, share music both well known and up and coming music on a regular basis. I have also made some playlists with friends. I will write more about this soon 😊
Thank you everyone for all the beautiful music you put out in the world! Music is something that makes everything better, and unites us all. Keep up the great work!
Here is the first Artists support playlist of the year. Look forward to another one in April!
Sending much love and Good Vibes to alllll of you 🥰 There are many things going on in our world right now, let’s all be safe and come together virtually and support one another and spread love in our Universe
Let me know how you like the playlist and don’t be shy to tweet at me.
Hellooooo everyone ✌👋😁🎶 Ready for a bright and happy new week, with lots of good music? Well let me start you off right!
Today I am featuring a track by an artist I published an article about a while ago. At that time he was a dj that recently started finishing producing tracks he had been working on for a while.
I would like to feature one of his newer tracks that has a great sound. But first let me give Chris a chance to talk about himself and today’s featured track!
A bit about the artist by the artist
Hi I’m Chris and as my dj name I go by Porter. I produce techy electronic sounds, bass heavy – dance floor drivers. What I scope in to and I hope to do more is shows.
In the last year I have been signed to 2 labels, Ultrasonic Music Germany (UMG) and Pink Dolphin Music Ltd.
I released my first EP with UMG ‘Non Conformity’ witch it techno and tech house while 3 tracks on pink dolphin are more experimental electronic style.
A bit about the track by the artist
This track “Grinder” is where I decided I would try and merge the future house sounds with the more traditional housey tech beats.
A bit about the artist & track by Smily
It’s nice to see how Chris confidence has grown and to hear him experiment with different sounds. It also made me smile to see that Rich from @PinkDolphinMLtd who’s label I enjoy supporting for having such great unique music, had signed Chris under his label.
I really enjoy the track Grinder, I like how it builds up and is it’s own kind of style and genre. The beat is amazing too. So give it a try and let myself and Chris know what you think.
Don’t forget to show your support, by listening to the music, sharing feedback and by sharing the track and article, so more people get to enjoy the music.
You may follow Chris on Twitter at @ChrisIPorter
Here’s a little preview
Here is where you can listen/stream/download this track
Most of you know how much I like to support Artists, make playlists and share music on Twitter. My taste is very broad in music and I share accordingly.
About a month ago I thought it would be fun to make a playlist of music and songs all made by the great artists on Twitter who love, make and support one another in making music.
I was pleasantly overwhelmed with the response and submissions of tracks by artists. There is so much talent out there, so much creativity. All of you that submitted your music, I want to thank you! And if your track didn’t make the playlist this time, don’t give up! There will be more opportunities, I always listen every track that is sent to me. 😊🎶
It was such a success that I have decided not to stop here. I was trying to decide if I’d start making these playlists monthly or keep building on the original playlist.
I put a poll out on Twitter and asked for all your feedback and ideas, so I can keep them for consideration when I make my decision on which way I choose to go. So thank you everyone for your feedback and thoughts. It means a lot 😊🥰
I have decided to make a monthly or bi-monthly playlist (depending on my work/travel schedule)
Then after sharing the tracks one by one on Twitter and then the entire playlist. Make it stay available on Spotify as well as write a blog article with a link to the playlist including the artists that contributed to the playlist. This way they may share the article and the playlist to help themselves and fellow artists to get their music out there.
There are some other ideas and future plans in the works but I will tell you more on that later 🤗😉
Below please see the link to the very first Twitterfam playlist which I hope is the start of something special 💕 Your music certainly is special!
Thank you to all these amazing artists which are a part of this beautiful playlist.
Artists that contributed are in order of the playlist:
Go on follow them and each other listen to each other’s music and support one another!
I hope you are all happy and smiling. Today I am going to do something a little different.
I love so many genres of music and I love my friends. Even though most of the music I share here is electronic dance music, today I am featuring a track of it’s own genre. And it’s made by a friend in combination with other great talents. Please give this amazing track s listen and support all involved.
When I heard this track I was excited and proud after the long journey it took to get to this place. As my expertise is not in this genre please read the below details provided by my friend.
Don’t forget to listen/follow and support
I understand some of the influences of underground Synthwave and Goth bands get lost in the view of it when those scenes are already pretty low on the radar of many people who will be listening to this.
As for my own comments, I personally would be going out of my way to say that this is my personal favorite track on the album. This was a track where I did everything to make sure it was right. Everybody was brought in that was needed to. Maverick’s ferocious vocals, George Galanos’ ripping guitar solos that conclude the track with a big bang, and Sandra’s instruments that she re-recorded over my own demo, most notably drum machines that would certainly please “Doktor Avalanche” lol
I tend to do many stories or personifications in my lyrics because I want to connect to something with my music. I listen to a lot of Goth music and sometimes it feels like as much as there is darkness, it is more of a mood piece than something they connect with. That’s why I like to do stuff like “The Looks That Kill” or I try to challenge my own personal demons with something like “Without You”. It’s much more interesting to listen to.
Also contextualizing this record felt kinda important for me, not because of how much it means but because in comparison to other retro leaning acts like Greta van Fleet and The Darkness that have a much more well known derivative sound, very few will be in the know about the whole Goth thing. I don’t really want that angle to be lost, especially as some people have tried to label us as Synthrock or basically anything except Goth Rock or Darkwave (Which while I do appreciate the support, I feel hurts the culture)
Please have a listen and support the artists here on
Hello all you wonderful music lovers. You are in for such a treat, because today I am able to present to you the newly released track produced by John Lutchman.
Before I share this track I want to tell you a bit of background so you can relate to the beauty of this moment and this track.
Before I started my own blog years ago I used to write articles for other blogs now and then. One of the first articles I ever wrote was a small list of tracks of producers who I had heard on SoundCloud where when I heard their music it touched my heart and soul in a way where it made me feel this is a producer to watch out for in the future. John Lutchman was one of them and one I felt strongly about.
To me it’s been exciting watching him work so hard towards his goals and making it so far. He plays many shows in New York and Austin and has grown to a whole new level of skills. He’s reached great success and I was beyond honored when John shared the track he made with me and asked for my feedback.
I always enjoy getting to hear a track someone worked hard on and put their heart and soul into, it’s something special and I treasure it whenever this happens. When I heard John’s track the melody and sound hit me so hard!
I love the vibe of this song so much, the melody is lovely and the first time I heard it I just didn’t want it to end. And it moved me, really moved me. Tears were streaming down my face even though it’s not a sad melody. His music touched my heart and soul. There are many talented producers out there, but not many can translate feelings into music. It’s a special talent only a few people have. John is one of them.
John has worked EXTREMELY hard over the years and hasn’t always gotten the breaks he deserves in my eyes, but he doesn’t complain and keeps working hard with a positive attitude.
I’d like to ask all of you in our lovely music community to now all get together and show John how much we appreciate people like him that love the music as much as us. I’d like to ask you to carefully listen to this track and see how it moves YOUR soul and then share it with your friends. And then give John Lutchman a follow on Twitter reach out to him and tell him not to ever give up because we need his music in this world.
It’s time again for the next featured track! I have had the chance to get to enjoy the unique lovely music by Artistes known as Us.
What a lovely bunch of humans they are. Damian has been great about staying in touch and letting me know what they are doing, goals, dreams etc.
Let’s give them a chance below to introduce themselves and talk about their track .
A bit about the artist by the artist
The founder of the Band Damo Funk (Damian) decided in 2013 to pursue a long held ambition to create music and publish it.
The name of the Band came about as a homage to Prince. The Artist Known as Us is a collective of like minded individuals producing music they like, predominantly House & Techy Trance Beats.
We embrace influences from all walks of Music including Funk & Disco. We create, play and enjoy music both in the Studio and Live. Live music has been our current emphasis to get our music out there as well as online.
Our Ethos, Love, Peace and Unity through Music…
A bit about the track by the artist
Funked up Trance thing came about after putting our third Album together, The Sunset remixes Dreamscape Volume III E.P.
This was one of the tracks rummaging around Damo’s Brain for some time. It was influenced by the love for 1990’s Trance. He used a groove he came up with and a beat he created himself.
It was included on the latest Album Casa Disco in September 2017. On reflection its one of our strongest dancefloor contenders!
We love it and hope clubbers, Dj’s and lovers of dance music who stumble across it love it as much as we do.
A bit about the Track by Smily
The title pretty much says it all. This is a Trancy track with a lot of funky to it. I find myself jamming out in my car on my way to work happily whenever it comes on my playlist. I feel this is one of those tracks that many people will enjoy with a wide range of taste in music. So please give it a listen 😊💙
Remember to listen, share and let the artist know you like their music to show your support.
Anddon’t forget to give them a follow on Twitter @ArtistesKnownAs

Playlists, playlists playlists. Even if you know me just a little you know I can’t get enough of them. I make playlists at least weekly but sometimes even daily 😋. I have them for different years, moods, genres, seasons etc etc etc. And I never ever have enough. I keep making more of them and I just love love love to share them with all of you so that you can enjoy them with me.
Not too long ago I was browsing and listening to some classic tracks on Spotify and whenever I do this it then makes me think of more and more classic tracks that I love and are still so great to listen to.
So I’ve decided I’m going to do a series of small playlists with classic tracks. I am keeping them small to make it easier to share them and talk about the tracks a bit.
This the first one in the series. Please enjoy and look forward to more in the future. Some of which I’d like to involve all of you in too. I’ll put up a tweet occasionally asking for your input on a favorite classic and then I’ll include the ones I enjoy as well in the future playlists.
Here’s the first 10 tracks 😙
1) Moby – God Moving over the face of the Waters
Moby is a genius when it comes to music in my book. I especially favor the older tunes because the melodies are beautiful and original. This is one that lets my mind drift away. Such a lovely track.
2) DJ Jean – The Launch
Anyone that is into any kind of Dance Music in the Netherlands probably knows this track or should know it 😉 It is recognized worldwide and I love the sound of it. There’s many remixes done of this track but the original is my favorite.
3) Enigma – Return to Innocence
A very unique sound that I haven’t heard anyone else make. It’s that new agy sound from back in the day. Dreamy and with a lovely message 😍
4) Ian can Dahl – Castles in the Sky
This sing makes me happy. I don’t know how else to express it. The sound and singing along with it makes my heart feel happy 💖 so I had to add this!
5) SNAP! – Rythm is a Dancer
Lovely beats and strong vocals and when you listen to it you hear it’s older by the style. To this day this gets thrown in to live sets and most people know and sing with it. Good Vibes 💙
6) Mauro Picotto – Komodo
This is a classic that has a melody and beat that still gets me every time I hear it. Goosebump music 😍
💖 As you all know I have a wide range in taste of music and today I am bringing you another featured track that’s something different from my usual dance and electronic tracks.
Melanie from JV agency reached out to me a few weeks ago to let me know about a new track she’d like me to consider for a featured track article. You may follow her @RogoffPublicity
I listened to the track and enjoyed it as a nice unique sound so I am glad to accept and share this track with all of you.
About the Artist by the Artist
FAULKNER are a bicoastal mono-genre band. An unfinished demo of their song “NY Anthem” fell into the hands of RZA, the Wu-Tang Clan mastermind & captured his interest, leading to their first major collaboration. As a result of their collaboration, “NY Anthem” is heard at the New York Yankees home games and US Open.
The upcoming album is an intense and emotive listening experience for all of “the rebels and the misfits” out there. The result is a stunning mix of stories and sounds with contributions from producers RZA, JP Bowersock (The Strokes) and Mark Needham (The Killers), recorded at Rick Rubin’s Shangri La Studio and East-West.
About the track by the Artist
“The inspiration behind ‘Hot Streak’ is that magic moment of feeling untouchable like Nicky Barnes. Where for an hour the whole world falls into your hands and everything you touch turns to gold. ‘Hot Streak’ defines our live show energy seamlessly following our collaborations with RZA and Royce Da 5’9”. This is the first song we started off as a production duo with an infinite abelian melody on top of a pulsating uptempo rhythm.”
– Lucas Asher (Lead Singer)
About the track by Smily
This was the first time I did not work or speak directly to the artist which felt a bit different to me.
Speaking with their representative was also pleasant, Melanie is a kind person that loves music and is passionate about what she does. 😊
I realize though that I like the feeling of speaking with the artist directly as well, so you get to know them a bit and get a good feeling of where the music came from.
Maybe this is why when I read the description of the track by the artist I did not at all get that vibe from this track.
When I listened to it it took me to the music I love from the 80’s that feel good music but with a fresh new twist.
It makes me think of loyalty to your friends, having their back whether they do well in life or not.
But there’s to show you we can all enjoy music and get something different from it. So what is your feeling when you listen to this track? Let me know I’m curious to find out!
